1.Marie-Julie-Jahenny玛丽·茱莉·周汉尼的简介

Marie-Julie-Jahenny,the eldest of fivechildren, was born on February 12th, 1850 in Blain, close toLa Fraudaisin Brittany, France. 

玛丽茱莉周汉尼于1850年2月12日出生在法国布列塔尼的布莱恩村的科恩特,她是五个孩子中最大的一个。 

Her parents, Charles and Marie BoyaJahenny, were pious, hard working peasants; little did they know that theirfirst child would be chosen by Heaven for a special mission:

Apparently, the first signal grace shereceived was at a very young age when she heard an interior voice while atchurch:“Stay a little longer with Me.”

From that time on, she was always drawnto the tabernacle where Our Lord resided in the Blessed Sacrament and wouldspend long hours in prayer with Our Lord, or she would withdraw to a quietplace just to be alone and meditate.

However, to please her brother andsisters, she would play with them when they demanded it, and when she was oldenough, she would help her mother with the housework.

One can only imagine how joyous a day itwas for her when she could receive Holy Communion for the first time:in those days, First Communion was not given to children.

When she was older, desiring to grow inspiritual perfection, she eventually entered the Third Order of St.Francis.

She was described as a model for theparish, always punctual for service, very modest, and is said to haveapproached the altar with the devotion of an angel when receiving HolyCommunion.

It was not until 1873 that she receivedthe stigmata.

On February 22nd, 1873, she grewseriously ill, the Blessed Mother appeared to her with the news that she wouldhave much to suffer.

Obviously, Marie-Julie had made acomplete offering of herself to God and He had accepted her.

On March 15th, Our Lady appeared againand asked if she would be willing to suffer the same agonies her Son hadendured to save mankind, and Marie-Julie affirmed that she was willing.

Our Lady then replied that she would begiven the Five Wounds, and the stigmata began on the 21st of March.

Heaven was just beginning to send herthe Wounds of Christ.

The Crown of Thorns appeared on October5th, the Wound in the left Shoulder where Christ carried the Cross was receivedon November the 25th, on December 6th the scourge wounds appeared on her back,and on January 12th, 1874, she received wrist-wounds representing where theHands of Our Lord were bound.

She also received on the same day as thewrist-wounds, a wound over her heart.

On January the 14th, additionalscourge-stigmata appeared on her ankles, legs and forearms, days later shereceived two scourge stripes on her side.

Apparently, the local Church authority,Monseigneur Fournier, Bishop of Nantes, did not waste a moment in setting up aninvestigation to verify the authenticity of these miracles.

Doctor Imbert-Gourbeyre, Professor atthe Faculty of Medicine at Clermont-Ferrand was called to examine theappearance of the stigmata and to ascertain if this was the effect of hysteria,or was indeed of an inexplicable, divine origin.

When he asked Marie-julie what she sawwhen she received the stigmata, she replied:

 “When I received the stigmata, Our Lord appeared to me with radiantwounds; it was as if a sun surrounded them.

A luminous ray came out of each woundand struck my hands, feet and side; at the end of each ray there was a drop ofred blood.

The ray that left the side of Our Lordwas twice as wide as the others and was shaped like a lance.

On February 20th, Our Lady announced toMarie-Julie that she was to become the spiritual bride of Christ.

A wound appeared around the ring fingerof her right hand:a special mark showing that she hadbeen chosen as the Spiritual Spouse of Christ.

Immediately, her spiritual director,Father David, wrote to Dr. Imbert-Gourbeyre to inform him what had happened:

I had organized everything according toMonseigneur's (the Bishop's) orders:fourteen men aswitnesses.

At 8:30 we sawthat the wounds were dry; that the ring finger of the right hand was normal,pale as death and no trace of a ring.

After 9 o'clock, bleeding of all thewounds. Towards 9:15 we noticed the finger swelling andreddening under the skin.

Towards 9:45blood flowed above and below the finger, and little by little we saw the ringtaking shape.

It is now well marked for all her life... Monseigneur (the Bishop) is enthusiastic.”

Finally, she receive one specialstigmata, which apparently seems to be the first of its kind in the history ofapproved stigmatists.

For well over a month, Marie-Julieforetold she would receive a special mark on her chest and then revealed thedate a week before it happened.

On December 7th, family and witnessespresent were stunned to see a cross and flower appear on her chest with thewords :

O Crux Ave, (Hail to the Cross)accompanied by the most extraordinary perfumes emanating from her body.

When the ecstasy was over, the signremained for the witnesses to examine.

The stigmata bled every Friday, thenlater, only on Good Fridays, but the pain of the wounds always increased,especially on Fridays.

On some occasions, the wounds weremiraculously transformed on dates that were announced beforehand.

For instance, on one date years later,May 1883, the family could hear the singing of angels.

On All Saints, 1884, Our Lord announcedHe would envelop her in a coat of bright light.

At midnight on the feast of theImmaculate Conception, December 8th, Our Lord fulfilled His promise and herfamily saw a stream of light about the size of a pea emanate from the wounds inher hands, which lasted for ten minutes.

It did not take long to arrive at aconclusion when the examinations began:Doctor ImbertGourbeyre wrote to the bishop, declaring that, “he possessed a young woman witha genuine stigmata.

He grants her graces of an obvioussupernatural order.

At the same time she grows in virtue andnoble sentiments.

The natural and human disappear in her,and she often speaks to people she sees or who are referred to her givinginstructions which are not in keeping with her normal state.

Therefore be confident, dear Doctor, thetime will come when Marie-Julie herself will be the proof... . She is sincere:

The doctor continued his observationsfor years afterwards, and Bishop Monseigneur Fournier would remain one of herstaunch supporters up to the time of his death.

Her wounds followed all requirements forthe appearance of stigmata to be declared authentic:

The stigmata appear where Our Lordreceived the Five Wounds.

Those who are hypnotised to produce a stigmatanever exude blood where the wounds of Christ are traditionally held to havebeen inflicted.

Thewounds and sufferings of the Passion occur on times and dates significant withthe Crucifixion of Christ.

The stigmata never heal despite all medical treatments, and may last for yearsat a time.

However, they never fester or becomeinfected, the blood that flows remains pure. If the stigmatist receives anatural injury, that retains all the characteristics of a natural wound and canbecome infected.

The stigmata produces copious bleeding:the first daysof bleeding appears natural, but the continual flow days afterwards remainsinexplicable.

The copious nature of the blood flowthat does not harm the health of the stigmatist is also inexplicable. Thestigmata are generally on the surface of the body and not close to major bloodvessels or arteries, and yet, they bleed abundantly.

Finallyand most importantly, to establish divine authenticity, that the stigmata havebeen given to those individuals who practise the most heroic virtues,especially people who display a great love of the Cross and the Passion of OurLord.

It is important to note that it is notnecessary to have formal approval from the Vatican to declare a stigmatist ormystic as authentic, affirmation from the local bishop with full canonicaljurisdiction from the Church is sufficient for a formal declaration ofapproval.

Bleeding Objects

Miraculous occurrences were not confinedto the appearance of the stigmata.

Pictures and crucifixes in her roomwould miraculously shed blood.

One day Marie-Julie requested herspiritual director, Fr. David, to bring her a picture of the Crucifixion. Hereadily fulfilled her request and blessed the picture before giving it to her.

She was immediately attracted to it andwould meditate with it several times a day.

On January 21st, 1877, Our Lord appearedto her during an ecstasy and said:

 “Oh, you who love Me, see how I suffer ... I pour out My Divine Bloodto pay for the sins of France... . The picture where I am crucified beforewhich you meditate,will remind you of My suffering.

The Divine Blood of My Five Wounds whichhas just flowed on My Cross, will flow on the five wounds of this picture ... .

Tell your Father to collect It....andnow come back to earth: you will find My Five Wounds bathed inBlood."

Her entire family witnessed the miracle,Fr. David kept the miraculous picture. 

她全家见证了奇迹,达味神父保存了这张奇迹的圣像。 

The curate of Blain, Fr. Lequeux, alsowitnessed a similar miracle on the Feast of Corpus Christi, May 27th,1880 witha different picture and two crucifixes.

He wrote the following account to Fr.David: “On Thursday I was at La Fraudais at about eleven-thirty.

While I was addressing a few words toMarie-Julie on the love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament,she went intoecstasy, then all of a sudden exclaimed: "The Crucifix at the end of mybed is bleeding."

I turned at once and saw on the picturea gush of blood of about twocentimetres.

While I was occupied looking at thepicture I noticed that Marie-Julie had her lips glued to her crucifix andseemed to be drinking.

I approached her and clearly saw redblood on the Crucifix and on the lips of our dear victim who said to me as shestretched out her hand:

With a blessed cloth I then purified thetwo crucifixes that were all red with blood.

Then Marie-Julie said to me: "MyJesus wants you to purify my lips reddened with His Adorable Blood."

I then took the cloth by each end andpressed it on the lips of the seer.

Six weeks previously,16th of April, Iwas at La Fraudais assisting at one of Marie-Julie's ecstasies.

At a certain point, she put thefollowing words in Our Lord' mouth: "A Little later, when I give Myself toyour soul, I will let flow on your lips a few drops of red blood which will beMy Precious Blood."

Obviously, this is a message to us thatonly the consecrated hands of priest should hold the Precious Body and Blood ofOur Lord.

Total Fasts As with other mystics, sheexperienced periods of complete mystical abstinence without food or water, andyet remained perfectly healthy.

Her sole means of bodily as well asspiritual sustenance was Holy Communion.

The first time this happened was onApril 12th, 1874 and lasted for 94 days.

Like her other miraculous occurrences,she announced it beforehand, including the second period of total abstinencethat began on December 28th, 1875, and lasted for five years, one month andtwenty-two days. Doctor Imbert-Gourbeyre recorded that “during the whole ofthis period there were no liquid or solid excretions.”

Her Ecstasies While she was in ecstasy,which occurred on a regular basis, the normal reactions of hersenses ceased,her soul was completely united with God. She remained insensible to the pointthat she would not make the least movement when burned, pricked with pins andneedles, or when bright lights were flashed in her eyes.

Some of her ecstasies featuredlevitation where her body was miraculously raised up.

She had the gift of recognizing blessedobjects from ordinary unblessed things, and could tell Consecrated EucharistHosts from unconsecrated hosts.

Often she would give unexpected informationabout an object or relic.

She was once presented with a relic ofthe spear that pierced the side of Our Lord, and she confirmed it was a pieceof the spear, furthermore, that it held a fragment of Our Lord's Heart.

Apparently, the Franquerie family stillhave this priceless treasure in their possession.

She could also understand differentlanguages while in ecstasy that she had never learned and could recite prayersor sing hymns in these different languages.

For instance,she was often given theorder in Latin to return from her ecstasy, and she promptly obeyed, despite thefact she could not speak or read Latin.

The Bishop of Nantes, MonseigneurFournier,accompanied by the Superior of the Jesuits and his secretary witnessedthis first hand on July 17th,1874.

It was further observed that when herspiritual director or a religious with canonical authority gave her the orderto interrupt her ecstasy and come back to ordinary life, she immediatelyfollowed the virtue of obedience, whether she was ordered by them mentally,vocally, or in writing.

Did Our Lord predict through Marie-Juliethe Vernacular Vatican II Mass?

He declared a 'facsimile' of a Masswould be propagated that would 'contain words odious in His Sight.'

If so, Christ prefers the Traditional,or Extraordinary Form of the Latin Mass pictured above Victim Soul In additionto the marks and pains of the Passion, she also suffered inexplicable maladiesand painful conditions for the expiation of sin and for the salvation ofsinners.

Doctor Imbert Gourbeyre recorded thisexample in 1880:“Since the beginning of June 1880...Marie-Julie had had toendure extraordinary suffering during the ecstasies on Mondays, Tuesdays andThursdays of every week.

During the Way of the Cross, thepreceding Friday, Our Lord has said to Marie-Julie whorepeated His words during the ecstasy, which were taken down by a secretary:'OnMonday, to expiate the culpable offences that I will receive and that I havealready received this month, I will oppress you in a different way.

In this pain your sufferings will be veryviolent, all your joints will suffer. With this pain you will have a burningfever.

Your tongue will be swollen, very large.There will be a visible swelling at all the joints of your bones and this will showhow strong the pain is.'

All this prophetic programme was to takeplace before my eyes. This took place on Monday 27th of September 1880. ...

A few days after having assisted atthese extraordinary sufferings, I heard Marie-Julie announce in front of me inprofound ecstasy that she would soon have a new and long illness.

In the preceding six months,she had oftensaid that God had asked her for the complete sacrifice of her ears, eyes,speechand movement.

She accepted everything...”

On December 19th, Marie-Julie was toldby revelation that her ordeal would begin two days later.

That following Tuesday, she lost herability to speak and her sense of hearing.

She knew that three days later she wouldbecome blind, and it came to pass.

It was noted that her inability to speakwas accompanied by strange conditions: her tongue was immovable, as hard as arock, and completely pushed backward with the tip bent under, completelyblocking her throat.

Her mouth then closed shut, and her lipsremained motionless, she could no longer be heard praying.

However, it would seem her tongue wasloosened at one point so she could reveal the next stages of her sufferings onFebruary 10th, 1881:

Our Lord: "Do you want to sufferagain?"

Marie-Julie: "Yes, my Jesus."

Our Lord: “Well from next Monday, youwill no longer be able to stay on your stake...all your limbs will becomedisjointed, but without changing position.

All the limbs on your left side, fromthe soles of your feet to the top of your head, will no longer move."

Our Lord: "You will stay in yourarmchair, there, new crucifixions of sufferings will come to keep you company,one by one."

我们的主:“你将坐在轮椅上,在那里,新的苦难的十字架将一个接一个地伴随你。”

It is striking that this new round ofsufferings resembles the description of the crucifixion in the Third and Fourthprayers of the Fifteen Prayers revealed by Our Lord to St. Bridget of Sweden:

Creator ofHeaven and earth, whom nothing can encompass or limit, Thou, who dost enfoldand hold all under Thy Loving power remember the very bitter pain which Thoudidst suffer when the Jews nailed Thy Sacred Hands and Feet to the Cross byblow after blow with big blunt nails, and, not finding Thee in a pitiableenough state to satisfy their rage, they enlarged Thy Wounds, and added pain topain, and with indescribable cruelty stretched Thy Body on the Cross, anddislocated Thy bones by pulling them on all sides.

I beg of Thee, Oh Jesus, by the memoryof this most holy and loving suffering of the Cross, to grant me the grace tofear Thee and love Thee. Amen.

Fourth Prayer; "Oh Jesus! Heavenlyphysician, raised aloft on the Cross in order that through Thy Wounds, ourmight be healed, remember the bruises which Thou didst suffer and the weaknessof all Thy Members which were distended to such a degree that never was therepain like unto Thine.

第四篇祷文;“哦,主耶稣!天上全能的医治者,藉着你在十字架上,被天父高举而治好了我们的创伤。你所受的伤痛,已超越了人所能忍受的程度。

From the crown of Thy Head, to the Solesof Thy Feet, there was not one spot on Thy Body that was not in torment, andyet, forgetting all Thy Sufferings, Thou didst not cease to pray to ThyHeavenly Father for Thy enemies saying; 'Father, forgive them, they know notwhat they do.' 

你的圣躯被鞭打的体无完肤;而你在极度伤痛之下,还不断地为仇敌向天父请求说:“父啊!宽恕他们吧!因为他们不知道他们做了什么。”

Through this great Mercy,and in memory of this suffering, grant thatthe remembrance of Thy Most Bitter Passion may effect in us a perfectcontrition and the remission of all our sins. Amen."

This mystical dislocation of her jointsbegan a period of martyrdom that would last for years. 

这种神秘的关节脱臼的苦难持续数年。 

Marie-Julie's body temperature becameice cold. 

玛丽茱莉的体温变得冰冷。 

One night, her family wanted to move herto the bed to try and make her comfortable, but they could not lift her fromher chair, she became heavier than stone, it was as though she was cemented tothe spot. 

一天晚上,她的家人想把她搬到床上,试着让她舒服一点,但是他们不能把她从椅子上抬起来,她变得比石头还重,就好像她被水泥粘在了那里。 

Marie-Julie then made them understandthat they would only be able to move her at one in the morning.

When the time announced came, sheinexplicably became as light as a feather.

Although she had become deaf throughthis time of torment, she could hear the priest when he spoke in Latin.

She had been rendered blind, but shecould still witness Heavenly visions while in ecstasy as demonstrated by herexpressions.

Our Lord told her she would be able tospeak during her ecstasies, which occurred.

After she had spoken, her tongue wouldresume its strange, hardened appearance as before.

She was paralysed, but every Friday at 9AM, she regained her mobility so the linens could be changed and that she couldmake her customary Way of the Cross at 1 PM.

As soon as her ecstasy of the Cross wasfinished, the paralysis returned. Doctor Imbert-Gourbeyer declares:

 “The illness of Marie-Julie lasted almost four years, coming to anend gradually.

Furthermore, the doctor emphaticallydeclared this was not a case of hysteria:

“The extraordinary sufferings of Marie-Julie were accompanied by adominant symptom, contracture, which plays an important role in neurosis.

All the circumstances of this symptom(in Marie-Julie's case) prove that it is was not of a hysterical nature.

Besides, who has ever seen ... acontracture that ceases regularly every Friday for several hours, to allow thesubject to talk and walk in ecstasy?

The observation of the Breton virgindispels all the observations of known hysteria.

Why does Our Lord ask for thissuffering? Many argue it is difficult to believe that an All Loving God coulddemand this much agony and sacrifice, but people forget or are not aware thatsin has a price attached to it. 

为什么我们的主要我们受苦呢?许多人争辩说,很难相信一个充满爱的天主会要求如此多的痛苦和牺牲,但是人们忘记或者没有意识到罪是要付出代价的。 

Christ came and suffered on earth toopen Heaven to us, but every sin we still commit must be paid for, either inthis life, or the next.

It is not enough to simply believe,faith alone is not enough as St. James the Apostle declared:

 “What shall it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, buthath not works?

So faith also, if it have not works, isdead in itself.

But some man will say:Thou hast faith,and I have works: shew me thy faith without works; and I will shew thee, byworks, my faith.

也许有人说:你有信德,我却有行为;把你没有行为的信德指给我看,我便会藉我的行为,叫你看我的信德。 

Thou believest that there is one God:Thou dost well: the devils also believe and tremble. 

你信只有一个天主吗!你信得对,连魔鬼也信,且怕得打颤。 

But wilt thou know, O vain man, thatfaith without works is dead?”  (James2:14-20)

As recorded in Matthew (11:12) “Thekingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent bear it away.”

St. Catherine Emmerich was shown thatafter the Fall of the Angels, the vacant thrones of Heaven must be earned bystrife:

“It was made known to me that God in Hisjudgement,in His Eternal sentence against the rebel angels, decreed the reignof strife until their vacant thrones are filled. (…) The strife will, however,be upon the earth. 

天主父使我知道,祂在自己的裁判中,在自己对叛逆的天使永久的判决中,宣告了竞争的天国,一直到他们的空位补足。但是竞争要在地上展开,在天上已没有了竞争,因为天主如此规定了。

There will be no strife above, for Godhas so ordained.”

Hence the need to withstand theflesh,the world and the devil via penance and the requirement of accomplishingcorporal and spiritual works of mercy to atone for sin and to draw graces downon hardened sinners that they may convert.

As Our Lady pronounced so often, as atLourdes and Fatima; we must pray and make sacrifices for sinners, so many go toHell because there is no one to pray for them.

More often than not, our prayers andsacrifices are not enough, therefore God chooses special victim souls to makeexpiation and who are willing to make this supreme act of charity.
